Early Career

Ramesh Kana began his career at Royal Dutch Shell Group in Australia, holding senior
finance and strategy roles over 14 years. He gained deep experience in global energy
markets, strategic planning, and managing multinational operations.

Investment Banking

Ramesh then transitioned to investment banking, working with a boutique firm in
Sydney. He gained expertise in M&A, capital raising, and restructuring, expanding his
understanding of financial markets and deal structuring. He also held roles in publicly
listed companies on the Australian Stock Exchange.

Corporate Leadership

As Group CEO and CFO of Emery Oleochemicals Group, Ramesh led a 10-year
expansion of manufacturing, distribution, sales, and R&D across multiple regions. His
leadership resulted in growth in revenue and profitability, while strengthening Emery's
global footprint. He also prioritized sustainability initiatives.

Sustainability Advocacy

Ramesh served as Chairman of the United Nations Global Compact Network for
Malaysia & Brunei for three terms, advocating for Sustainable Development Goals in the corporate sector. He led initiatives promoting responsible business practices, transparency, and collaboration to address global challenges.
