An Introduction

Rhumb Resources

Rhumb Resources is a private company that was established in 2021 to explore the Laura region of Cape York for the “future metals’; platinum group elements, the battery metals (Cu, Ni, Co) and rare earth elements. The Company has secured more than 2300 sq km of explorations tenements in a previously unexplored area close to the historic Palmerville goldfield that yielded more than 2 million ounces of gold in the 19th century.

Rhumb’s highly experienced team has conducted 3 years of geochemical and geophysical programs to identify more than 50 targets. Recent work has identified three highly prospective targets adjacent to the intersection of the deep seated Palmerville fault and the Yintjingga fault and have prepared plans for a drilling program. Additionally, the Company has identified two further targets from its program, that resemble Jinchuan and Norilsk structurally, which it intends to progress in the upcoming exploration season.

Rhumb is seeking equity funding to complete the $2M 2024 exploration program to enable it to move to IPO in 2025.

Tenements and Holdings

Rhumb Resources acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we operate; we pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their communities.

Rhumb Resources holds or has under application, over 2300 square kilometres of tenements near Laura on the Cape York Peninsula. The tenements sit astride the Palmerville and Yintjingga faults and are highly prospective for the future economy metals; copper, nickel and the platinum group elements.

The area is previously unexplored for those metals and is effectively a greenfields opportunity. Initial work identified more than 50 targets across the tenements. Recent soils and geophysical results are exciting with numerous anomalies confirmed in the target areas.
